Sometimes when you are depressed, you beat yourself up about being depressed. You feel guilty because you haven’t had a productive day, for example.
You need to be clear with yourself: You have a disorder, and it’s going to affect your life. Accept this. Grant yourself permission to be depressed, because even though you didn’t ask for it, this is a condition you have.
